One app for the Monday report and the weekend trip
The same askROI chat that writes your weekly report can plan your next trip. Here is one of each, with the prompt to start.

Pick the side of your week you want to hand off first. Each button opens a new chat with the prompt filled in, so you can edit it before you send.
Most of what we have written about askROI so far has been about work: goals, automations, skills, integrations. That leaves out half of how people use it. The same chat that writes the Monday report will plan the trip you take on Friday, and it does both the same way: you describe what you want, and it hands back a finished file.
Here is one example from each side, with the prompt and what comes back.
Work: a report that writes itself every Monday
A weekly report is the same job every week. Someone collects what changed, writes a summary, formats it, and sends it. The writing is the part people put off.
In askROI you describe that job once and put it on a schedule. An automation is a prompt that runs by itself at a time you choose (once, every day, every weekday, or on the weekdays you pick) and leaves the result in a new chat, with a push notification when it lands. You can ask for one in plain words in a chat. askROI drafts it and shows you a card with the prompt and the schedule, and nothing runs until you tap Create.
For example, a program lead who tracks attendance in a Google Sheet can ask for the pilot report every Monday at 9 AM. After they confirm the draft, each run reads the sheet and returns a fresh Word report.
A request for a Monday report is typed into askROI, and a Word report comes back
Each run is a normal askROI chat, so the report can use anything a chat can: search the web, read files in a connected Google Drive, or build a Word document with a summary, headings, and tables. That last part is what the AI report generator does on demand, and an automation does it on a timer.
A few things to know before you rely on it:
- It runs on your clock. The schedule is saved in your time zone, so 9 AM means 9 AM where you are.
- You can see every run. Each automation keeps a run history on the automations screen, and every run opens as its own chat, so you can compare this week with last week or ask a follow up question.
- It connects to the tools you already use. Connect Google Drive, PostHog, Slack, GitHub, Linear, or Notion and the report can draw on them too.
Personal: a trip plan you can print
Planning a long weekend takes an evening of tabs: opening hours, walking times, where you already booked, what it all costs. The result usually lives in a notes app nobody else can read.
The AI travel itinerary generator turns that evening into one message. Give askROI the place, the dates, your pace, and the bookings you already have. It returns a PDF with one section per day, each stop timed with the travel time to the next, and a budget table at the end.
A trip request is typed into askROI, and a day by day PDF itinerary comes back
Two choices make the plan trustworthy. askROI keeps the addresses and booking references you give it and marks every other stop as a suggestion, so you can see at a glance what is confirmed and what is still an idea. And it leaves free time in the day rather than packing every hour, because that is how people actually travel.
Travel is one example. The same pattern covers the rest of life admin:
- Money. The AI budget planner turns your income and bills into a spreadsheet with working formulas that show what is left to save.
- Food. Ask for a week of dinners with a shopping list grouped by aisle, or put a daily recipe idea on a schedule with an automation.
- Hobbies. Keep a training plan, a reading list, or a garden log in a spreadsheet, and ask for changes as you go.
One chat for both halves of the week
There is no separate personal version of askROI. Every one-on-one chat with askROI has the same tools: web search, documents, spreadsheets, slides, images, and automations. What changes is what you ask for. If you already use it for the Monday report, the weekend trip is one message away, and the reverse is true too.
