How it works

1. Sign in, then drop, paste, or choose one image: a photo, a product shot, a headshot, or a scanned graphic.
2. askROI removes the background and returns a PNG with a transparent background, with the subject left as it was.
3. Download the PNG, or keep chatting to place the cutout on a new background or use it in another request.

What format do I get back?

A PNG with the background made transparent and the subject left untouched. Download it from the chat, or keep it there and use it in a later request.

Can I choose what to keep?

No. The subject is detected automatically and the background around it is removed. Nothing is repainted, recoloured, or regenerated, so if the edges around hair or glass look off, try a photo with more contrast between the subject and its background.

Can I put the subject on a new background?

Ask in the same chat once the cutout comes back. Replacing the background is an image edit, a separate step from removal, and it uses credits too.

Can it process several images at once?

One image per request. If you attach several, askROI works on the first. Attach each remaining image again in its own request.

What does it cost?

Background removal uses credits, charged per image. The free plan includes some to start with, and paid plans include more.
