How it works

  1. Name your company, what you sell, and up to five competitors. Add a competitor to focus on, live deals, or objections you keep hearing, if you have them.
  2. askROI's Build a competitor battlecard tool asks for anything missing, researches your company and each rival on the web, and builds an interactive HTML battlecard: a comparison matrix up front and a tab for each competitor.
  3. Open the battlecard before a call, or keep chatting to refresh a competitor, add an objection, or go deeper on one rival.

What people use it for

  • Live dealsopen a competitor's tab before a call and use its talk tracks and landmine questions.
  • Sales onboardinggive new reps one page that shows where you win and lose against each rival.
  • Displacement dealsprepare how to sell to a prospect who already uses a competitor.
  • Pricing conversationssee how each competitor charges and a talk track for discussing price.
  • Monthly refreshrun it again to pick up competitors' releases and pricing changes from the last 90 days.

Questions

What is on the battlecard?
A comparison matrix of features, pricing, and positioning across you and every competitor, color coded for where you win, where they win, and ties. Each competitor's tab adds a company profile, releases from the last 90 days, where they win and where you win, pricing, talk tracks for when they come up early, when the prospect already uses them, and when they join the evaluation late, objection responses, and landmine questions. A card for your company lists your recent releases and differentiators.
Where does the research come from?
Public sources found by web search: product and pricing pages, news, release notes and changelogs, review sites, customer lists, and job postings. It does not see your win and loss history, so paste field intel or deal notes into the chat if you want them on the card.
How is this different from AI Competitor Analysis?
Competitor analysis is for strategy and marketing: SWOT analyses, feature comparisons, and positioning. The battlecard is for sellers in live deals: talk tracks, objection responses, and questions to ask, one tab per competitor.
What does it not do?
It does not show win rates unless you share your own deal data, and it is only as current as what competitors publish, so check pricing and release claims before quoting them to a buyer. It also plants questions rather than trashing rivals: the landmines are questions that surface a weakness, not attacks.
