What does an invoice need in the UK, Australia and Canada?

In the UK, a VAT invoice needs a unique invoice number, the date of supply, your name, address and VAT number, the customer's name and address, each item with its quantity, price and VAT rate, and the total VAT in pounds. In Australia, a tax invoice needs the words "Tax invoice", your name and ABN, the date, each item with its price, and the GST, plus the buyer's name or ABN from $1,000. In Canada, from $100 it needs your GST/HST number and the tax charged, and from $500 also the buyer's name, a description of each item and the payment terms. Name your country and askROI adds these fields.

Does it keep my invoices or number them for me?

It does not keep an invoice register or count invoices for you. Give it the invoice number to use. Each finished PDF stays in its chat and in your Library, so you can download it again later.

It is not accounting software. It does not send invoices, take or track payments, or keep your books, and it does not check that a tax number is valid. Where a detail is missing, such as a VAT number or bank details, it leaves a marked placeholder instead of inventing one.
