Questions
How long can the text be?
About four minutes, roughly 4,000 characters, per generation. For a longer text, askROI splits it at natural breaks, tells you how many parts it will make, and records them in order with the same voice.
Which voices and languages can I use?
Stock voices that range from calm and warm to crisp and energetic, in more than 90 languages. Each recording uses one voice. Ask for a style or a language, or let askROI pick the voice that fits.
Can I download the audio?
Yes. The audio plays in the chat and is saved to your Library, where you can open the file and download it.
How is this different from the AI voiceover generator?
This page reads your own text back to you, for listening or proofreading. The voiceover generator records narration to go over a video or an ad.
Is it free?
Text to speech uses credits, and askROI warns you if you do not have enough for a recording. The free plan includes some to start with.
What does it not do?
It records one voice at a time, so it does not do dialogue, background music or sound effects. For text someone else holds the copyright to, it reads only material you upload for your own personal use.
