Questions

What can a mini app do?

It can have several screens or panels, forms and buttons, calculations, and state shared between its parts, laid out to work on a phone as well as a larger screen. It can also include images you upload or generate in the chat, and it can send a follow-up request back to the chat or open an outside link.

Does it save my data?

No. A mini app keeps its data in memory only while it is open, with no browser storage or cookies, so reopening it starts fresh. Use it for work you finish in one sitting, such as a calculation or a planning session.

Can it fetch live data from the web?

No. Mini apps run sandboxed with no network requests, so they cannot load prices, weather, or data from your accounts. Put the data it needs in your request, or ask askROI to include it when building.

Can I change the app after it is built?

Yes. Keep chatting and describe the change. askROI rebuilds the app from its saved project, so later edits start from the version you already have.

How is this different from the AI Custom Tool Builder?

A mini app is an interactive thing you click and type into inside the chat. A custom tool is a saved set of instructions askROI follows on your future requests, such as a house style for reports or a fixed review checklist.

What does it not do?

It does not make a website you can host, a store app you can install, or an app several people use together with shared data. The download is a PDF snapshot of the app, not a working copy.
