Export formats

  • Word document (.docx) Opens in Word, Pages, and Google Docs.
  • PDF (.pdf) Opens anywhere and prints as laid out.

Every export also lands in your Library as an artifact you can revise, share with a link, and pick up again in another chat.

How it works

  1. Pick the problem, then say who the letter goes to, what happened and what you want.
  2. askROI writes a one page letter that opens with your request, sets out your facts, and closes with what you are asking for, then builds the Word file.
  3. Check every detail, then send it yourself and keep a copy.

What people use it for

  • A faulty product ask a shop for a refund, with the purchase date, the receipt and what went wrong.
  • A bond dispute answer a landlord's or agent's claim against your bond with what your records show.
  • A rental repair put your request in writing, with the date the problem started and any earlier contact.
  • A second attempt list the calls and emails that got no answer, then set a date for a reply.

Questions

What does the ACCC say about refunds?

The ACCC says that when a product has a major problem, you can choose between a refund or a replacement, and that a business must fix a minor problem by at least giving a free repair. A business must not tell you to take the problem to the manufacturer or importer. The letter only makes the points you give it, so say so if you want these rights mentioned.

Where can I take a rental dispute?

Rules differ by state, so check your state's tenancy body. In NSW, the government advises making requests in writing and trying to resolve the problem with your landlord or agent first. After that you can go to the NSW Fair Trading complaint service, and the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal can make orders about repairs.

Will it cite the law for me?

Only if you ask and give the wording. The letter uses the facts you supply, exactly as you give them, and it does not add legal claims, threats or policy references you did not make. A missing detail, such as your name or address, gets a clearly marked placeholder for you to fill in.

What does it not do?

It does not lodge a complaint, contact the business, your landlord or a regulator, or decide the outcome, and it cannot promise a result. It is not legal advice.

Can I get it as a PDF instead?

Yes. Ask for a PDF and askROI converts it, so you can attach it to an email or print it.

Is it free?

Yes. You can write a complaint letter on the free plan. Paid plans raise the usage limits and include more credits for Premium mode.
