How it works
- Describe the project or operation: what it is, the timeline, the people and vendors involved, and anything already worrying you.
- askROI's Assess and track project risks tool identifies operational, financial, compliance, strategic, reputational, and security risks, scores each by likelihood and impact, and writes a mitigation, an owner, and a status for each.
- Copy the register into your project tracker or doc, or keep chatting to add risks, change a score, or update a status.

Questions
- How are risks scored?
- Each risk gets a likelihood and an impact of high, medium, or low, and a three by three matrix turns the pair into a risk level of critical, high, medium, or low. High likelihood with high impact is critical; low likelihood with low impact is low.
- What does each entry include?
- A description of what could happen, the likelihood, the impact, the resulting risk level, a specific mitigation that reduces the likelihood or the impact, an owner, and a status of open, mitigated, accepted, or closed. The register is sorted so the most serious risks come first.
- How is this different from the AI Legal Risk Assessment?
- The risk register covers the whole project or operation, from staffing gaps and budget overruns to outages and security. The legal risk assessment looks only at legal exposure in a term, a deal, or a situation, and when a matter needs counsel.
- What does it not do?
- It does not put a dollar value or a percentage probability on risks; the scoring is high, medium, or low. It focuses on risks you can control that matter, rather than listing everything that could conceivably happen, and it is a planning aid for your team to review, not a compliance or legal opinion.
